Oscars 2024 winners: Full list of winners and nominees, updated LIVE


The 96th Academy Awards have kicked off and Hollywood’s biggest night of the year is already full of huge surprises, major wins and, as always, a few snubs.

After a triumphant 2023, where huge blockbusters like Oppenheimer and Barbie reigned supreme, the Oscars are no exception.

The Holdovers Actress Da’Vine Joy Randolph took home the very first Oscar of the evening, taking to the stage to give an emotional acceptance speech.

“I started off as a singer. And my mother said to me, ‘Go across that street to that theater department. There’s something for you there’,” Randolph said through tears.

“And I thank my mother for doing that. Thank you to all the people who have stepped in my path and have been there for me, who has ushered me and guided me. I am so grateful to all you beautiful people out there.”
