Sandra Bullock has made her first major public appearance since the death of her long-term partner, Bryan RanFrom, more than a year ago.
Randall, 57, died in August 2023 after a three-year battle with ALS. The couple had been together for eight years.
Bullock, 60, largely remained out of the spotlight until Tuesday (Wednesday AEDT), when she attended a 30th anniversary screening of her breakout film, speed, alongside co-star Keanu Reeves and director Jan de Bont.

The LA event was part of Beyond Fest at American Cinematheque at Egyptian Theatre.
Following the special screening, the trio took part in a “lively” 50-minute Q&A, which saw them reminisce about filming and the intense stunts.
Speed stars Reeves as Officer Jack Traven and Bullock as Annie Porter on a bus that will explode if it falls below 50 miles per hour (80km/h).
After de Bont, 80, shared that 11 buses were used to film the 1994 hit, Reeves joked about the inordinate amount of cameras on the vehicles.

“I counted 22 cameras once in the front,” Reeves, 60, said in footage shared on social media.
“In front of us there would be like 22 cameras – there’d be like one camera for Sandra’s hand, one camera for when I turned.”
Bullock joked during the panel session that she had a lightbulb moment on stage.
“It just dawned on me why you wanted me in the role: because if you killed me, I wasn’t a big actress – it would’ve been ‘Actor dies in stunt in a Keanu Reeves movie’,” she told de Bont. .
The success of the original led to a sequel on a cruise ship, which did not feature Reeves and was widely panned by critics.
Earlier this year, Reeves and Bullock appeared together on the podcast. 50 MPH, where they were asked about a possible Speed 3,
“I mean, you know — we’d freakin’ knock it out of the park,” Reeves said.
When asked again about another film during Tuesday’s Q&A, Bullock wasn’t as enthusiastic.
”The geriatric version? It won’t be fast!” she joked.

“All these things happened because the crazy man in the greenish jacket over there,” Bullock then said getting more serious.
“He’s so soft and gentle today and I’m like, that’s not the man I remember. But he’s the man who put the energy and the idea together, knew what the audience wanted and demanded it from everyone and stepped up to play it. .
“So what would that movie be that would make Jan’s brain and brilliance happy? It would require a lot from everybody. I don’t know if we’re in an industry anymore that’s willing to tolerate it and be brave enough to do it. Maybe I could be wrong.”
