‘We hope you get your mother’s nose’: AFL star’s joyful news


Former AFL star Daniel Gorringe and his wife Ana Cannon have revealed some exciting family news – the pair are expecting their first child,

The couple announced the news in a heartwarming joint Instagram. postwith Cannon showing off her baby bump as Gorringe, 32, leans in for a kiss.

“Baby Goz, we hope you get your mother’s nose,” he jokingly captioned the black and white happy snap.

The pair also shared a sweet message to those who might be struggling with their fertility, writing: “To all those who are wishing and waiting for their little miracle… we are thinking of you ❤️.”

He added in the comments: “Praying this now takes the ‘Lil Dan’ nickname off me and we pass it onto ‘Lil Goz.'”

Emily McKay, the ex of AFL star Majak Daw, commented underneath: “Cuuute congrats <3."

The happy couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony back in December.

“It has always been you <3," Cannon wrote underneath one wedding snap, where she wore an eye-catching white and blue floral embellished gown.

The smitten pair got engaged back in 2021.

Just before they got married, Cannon shared a tribute to her partner and wrote: “7 years of loving you (2 from afar), 5 years of dating, a 6 month hiatus, a reality show, a pandemic, 64,768 dumb videos, countless laughs, countless tears… less than one week until I’m stuck with you forever (still time to pull out…) ✅ swipe for *sobbing* 🤣.”

Gorringe, who hails from South Australia, played for the Gold Coast Suns and Carlton during his sporting career.

He retired from the game at the end of 2017.
